1. Lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.
“I can’t even begin to understand how anybody could be (ignorant) enough to make a comparison like the one you just made. Do you honestly think the same people upset by Caylee Anthony’s death aren’t upset about the murders and all the other horrible things that happen to children in (third world countries)? Of course we’re going to pay more attention to the things happening in (our own country), that doesn’t make us (inconsiderate or even uneducated).”
I found it somewhat interesting when reading these very first few statements you made directed towards me; or allocations if you’d like to call them. I took the liberty of parenthesizing the words, or phrases, that stuck out most. When you’re implying that “the same people” that care about Caylee’s death also care about the death of other children; I am not denying that. When you use the reference of third world children and caring about about what happens in “our own country”, that is what kind of sparks some confusion from the word you placed my actions under of being “ignorant”. So I placed the definition of “ignorant” at the top of this blog. Now if we were to go back and read my blog, I’d like to point out that at no point in time did I place any more importance towards “our own country” over “third world countries” or vice versa.
MY BLOG-
What about all the children that die around the world every day? What about all the children abducted, abused, neglected, sold into slavery and forced to kill others? What about all the children that suffer from medical illnesses and live with constant physical, mental and emotional pain? Where are all of their tweets, status updates, posts, blogs & etc.?
If you’re upset, make a difference and stand up for something. Don’t let tomorrow come and all of this be the past, make a movement!
The following are a few organizations to read into:

(continuing back to my answer to your question)
I constantly referred to the world as a whole and same applies with the few organizations I placed at the bottom of my page, they are equally national as well as inter-national organizations.
So to reiterate the word ignorant as being someone or something lacking knowledge or awareness; I believe your statement may fall under something of this description. Do you realize that their are people in “OUR OWN NATION” that are being abused, forced into slavery (sexual, labor, etc.), neglected and more? Or do you only believe that happens to “third world countries”? If that is so, I unfortunately believe the “lack of knowledge” is going to be referred to your statement. If these same people that care about Caylee’s death as they do of the “horrible things” other children suffer through in “OUR OWN COUNTRY” where is all the media hype? Why isn’t twitters trending topics about them? Why isn’t my facebook wall full of this? Why is it only the one trial that makes headlines that any one cares about enough to say something?
Now to move on about your assumption of me believing that Caylee’s life was insignificant or that I’m using it as an excuse to criticize others? This blog is to help open the mind of people that are upset by the outcome of the trial and give them motivation to want to make a difference; people that may not be aware of everything that happens around the world, people that may not be aware of what happens in “our own country” (hint hint).
As far as my “do” and my “preach” goes, I don’t need to gloat or be prideful of what I do to “help make a difference”. Making a difference isn’t just about raising money, donating or community service; it’s the little things that ANY ONE can do to help spread awareness that can make a lasting impact.
